Tech Tools and Toys for Tweens and Up

There’s no getting around it: technology is here to stay.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

There are so many fun and creative toys and tools available to help teach and encourage creativity. More and more of them can be used in your homeschool program, too. Good lessons to teach our kids, and to learn for ourselves, are that learning is a process, it can be loads of fun, and it should never stop. So think of a tech tool as a toy with an added bonus ;-).

Please note: we’re big on reading on this site, which is why we’re recommending an e-reader as a gift. A noted downside of the technology age is that many of us are reading less and less for pleasure. If your kid scoffs at a “real” book, we suggest encouraging them to use an e-reader. Not as a substitute (because not all books are available on Kindle), but as a means to an end.
