Coffee and Conversation #151 – Cheap Summer Activities

Candy

Candy

Candy is a southern girl who enjoys the simple things in life. Dirt road drivin’, Sunday afternoon nappin’, back yard swingin’, and sunset watchin’ are a few of the things that make her smile. She’s been married to her best friend and the love of her life for almost 25 years and is navigating motherhood with her 4 children, aged 23, 19, 14, & 11. Homeschooling for over 18 years now, she is also a bit of a word-nerd (ok, maybe more than a “bit” – she actually considers making lists of homophones to be entertaining), a lover of books and chocolate, a survivor of cancer, an author, and a hula hoop maker.

Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #151!   Happy Summer, everyone! In honor of the first day of summer, I’m sharing with you an “oldie but goodie” of ours… A few years ago, when our kids (and we) were a bit younger, Candy pulled this list together of fun summer activities that were […]

A coffee lover, the purchase of a coffee shop a few years ago was her personal foray into the small, family-owned business arena.Today, PatAndCandy.com is her outlet for packaging up and sharing the nuggets of wisdom God and life experiences have taught her.

This week I’m visiting my daughter and son-in-law and helping them do a bit of remodeling! Nothing major, but our big project will be re-covering some dining […]

Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #149!   Whatcha doin’ for Father’s Day this year? When I was a kid, Father’s Day meant crafting a handmade card and a simple cookout in the backyard. My dad never really wanted much; he always said he just wanted time with “his girls”. Over the years, […]

Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #146! I’m not trying to make you jealous… But this week I’m in my “happy place” with a bunch of people I love (aka “my family”)! This was kind of a last-minute, grab-the-last-cheap-week-before-the-summer-prices-kick-in, we-gotta-get-outta-Dodge, hubby-NEEDS-some-time-off type of deal… With that in mind, I just thought I’d share […]
