30 Days of Praying for Your Husband - Day 8 His Mind

Day 8 deals with His Mind.  Short and sweet today… You know that saying “A mind is a terrible thing to waste?”  Well, I’d have to say that a mind is also a terrible thing to mis-use!  It may only be me, but I go about much of my day talking to myself.  Not always out loud, mind you 😉 but you know…when you’re picking socks up for the umpteenth time and think “Really?  Is the laundry basket THAT much of a stretch?”, or if there’s hair in the sink (yet again) from a morning beard-trim…  Those tapes tend to roll ’round and ’round in your head if you don’t pro-actively stop them.

Our husbands are the same way…

And because they are often away at work all day, we often don’t even know what is rollin’ around in that hunky head of theirs…

While there is not much in the way of questions today, there are quite a few Scripture references to look up.  And I’d also encourage you today to take hold of your mind, and use those time when you’re reigning in your thoughts, to ask God to do the same for your love…

Questions for thought/journaling:

1. Does your husband frequently experience fear, depression or anxiety?  Does he ever believe lies about himself?  The 2 most important weapons
against attack are the Word of God and praise (p.82), regarding the lies Satan speaks to your husband’s mind.

2.Scriptures to find and read aloud. Use these verses to pray over your husband, inserting his name where appropriate.

  • Hebrews 4:11,
  • 2 Timothy1:7,
  • 1 Corinthians 2:16,
  • Mark 12:30.

3. Don’t forget to pray for your husband aloud each day!  There is power in prayer, and there is power in the spoken word – combining them sends a “1-2 punch” to Satan 🙂

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.… Click To Tweet

Have a blessed day, and “see you” tomorrow 🙂

With the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.      Romans 7:25
