Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #76 – hosted by PatAndCandy.com!
So good to see you here today! I hope you’ll pour yourself a cuppa and spend some time here with us. Can I let you in on a secret?
I’ve got BIG dreams for 2016…big, God-sized plans that He put in my heart and have really taken hold in there. As you may know, my Word of the Year is “Endure”, as in “to last”, and so this year I’m committing myself to putting some lasting things in place. Some I can’t share yet, but others include public speaking, marketing my consulting services, and increasing my guest post appearances. I am praying that the Lord uses me in a big way, not at all, mind you, because I’m “all that and a bag of chips” (which doesn’t really make sense to me, but my teens say it means being “a big deal”). But because I’ve laid it all out for Him. Wanting to be a part of HIS plan for me, being open and willing to do what HE wants from me, agreeing to obey even when it’s uncomfortable or not easy or I don’t have a clue what His reasons are!
Judging by what some of you shared last week, I think many of you have big dreams this year, too!
Here’s another secret! Well, it’s not really a secret, but… One of today’s features is really, really personal. And I guess I may be a little biased featuring it, but…it’s a post written by my daughter!! Yup! My grown-and-recently-married daughter is on the writer’s road, and submitted a post here last week 🙂 I just had to share it with you… (And if you stop by and read it, please be sure to leave a comment…I know she’d love it!)
What do you foresee – or hope for – in your life for 2016?
Whether or not you do resolutions…whether or not you do a Word of the Year…whether or not you just let things roll…let me encourage you to dream big!
And if you’d like, please share YOUR big dreams in the comments below…we’d love to be a part of your 2016 <3
So, here they are – my favs this week:
Do You Have An Insanely Impossible Dream? – A Little R & R
I can SO relate to Rosilind’s insanely impossible dream! But she’s taking it one step farther – join her this month as she talks about “how we can position ourselves so that God can make our insanely impossible dreams come true for us: What holds us back. What distracts us. What keeps us from dreaming at all.” Just click on the image below!
