Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #52!
I am so VERY glad you’re here this week!
Did you notice that this week is C&C #52?!? Know what that means? Yup! We’re celebrating a whole YEAR of hosting our very favorite par-tay 🙂
I really don’t think there are words to describe what the past year has been like because of this lil’ link party we host. There have been so many blogs that have become faces that have become friends. I’m confident to speak for Candy, too, to say they have all made both our lives so much more the richer in the process.
We’ve not only learned nuts and bolts stuff about blogging, but found encouragement in our personal lives, too: in our marriage and parenting efforts, friendships and our faith journeys. I truly hope that these bloggers have helped to lift up and encourage your lives, too!
Thank you to all who have been a part of the past year…and we welcome with joy those who will be joining us in the coming year!
Now For This Week’s Features!
As summer winds down and we gear back up for school, I imagine that some of us may be feeling a bit blue. While each season does bring its pros and cons, there is something a tad bittersweet about leaving behind the warm weather and looser schedule of the past few months. In that spirit, I chose some posts this week that I hope will inspire and uplift you!
OK, I know from the post title “Life is Short” you might think it might be a little morose, right? But Cynthia from MyRoseColoredShades was very encouraging! As a matter of fact, she is directly responsible for my 11-year old and I having some terrific quality time together yesterday…and she talks about Francis Chan! If you’re not familiar with him, definitely watch the short video.
Micah Maddox, from Deeper Life Today, recognizes the insidious illness of depression, and shares with us the story of how she found hope. I’m sharing this because she entreats her readers to help a friend break the silence that depression feeds on…
Dean Hackett found is actually related to one of our featured bloggers from last week – do you know who it is? I can only wonder what it must have been like to be raised by such a godly man. His piece encourages us both as individuals and as the larger Church in society…
I’ve had moments of sadness, exhaustion, unbelief and discouragement; haven’t you? But Ronja from AboundingGrace.com reminds me that even in my worst, His grace is sufficient…
Thank you for your inspiration! Please feel free to grab a button to
brag about it display on your site! 😉
Now on to the party!
By linking up, you’re confirming that you’ve read and agree to the following…
Link up family friendly posts that support our site’s mission of encouraging, inspiring & informing women. Think: marriage, parenting, recipes, DIY, saving money, faith-building, etc. (Serious business…Link up vulgarity and it’ll be deleted.)
Visit at least 2 other links. That’s what makes this a par-tay! Plus, it’s kinda the polite thing to do.
Linking up gives us permission to use and share your photos and blog posts (giving credit to you, of course!).
Share posts with good quality, pinnable images and be sure to link back to us in your post or on your blog. You can use the Coffee & Conversation button above or a text link. Your chances of being featured will greatly increase.
Oh, and would you be so kind as to Tweet this and pass the word around?
