Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #125 – hosted by PatAndCandy.com!
We both wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
No interesting commentary or thoughtful post today, friends. But we DO have lots of great Christmas (or anytime, for that matter) reading. So please visit a few of our friends’ blogs below. And don’t forget to leave Christmas wishes in the comments section while you’re there. It’s just the friendly, holiday thing to do…
Take note especially of our features!
We’re taking some much-treasured family time and trying to get a little “kick back” time, too… Hoping you’ll get to do the same 🙂
Now, on to our features!
Do not fear: you will NEVER see me in Spandex on this site (or most likely anywhere…), but I DO thank Emily for encouraging us all to shoot for that goal! Or at least get our you-know-whats off the couch and get movin’.
Day 3 of your 12 Days of Fitness Holiday Workout Challenge and you are rocking it! Are you sore? Good! Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, and eating a combination of complex carbohydrates and lean protein within 60 minutes of your workout. This will help fend off achy muscles.
Keep up the hard work. You’ll thank me later, I promise!
In my heart, I will always love to travel. Of course, not all of us (myself included) can just get up and go…but this post from Stride Travel offers some interesting and surprising cost comparisons of “trinkets vs travel.”
Most people have enjoyed Dr. Seuss‘s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” either in book, TV special, or movie form for many years. Most nod their head along with the commentary on the way consumerism has taken over the true meaning of the holidays.
And then we all feverishly buy things for people without much meaning behind them and ignore the moral of the story.
In the season of starting fresh, resolutions and/or Word of the Year…how bout shooting to bring life to your home in the coming year? Sound silly, simple or simplistic? Well, then – just join Anastasia’s Challenge for yourself!
You want to have a home that your family loves. You want a home that is comfortable, warm, loving and welcoming to those who live there and for those who visit.
No one wakes up one day and says, “I want a home filled with chaos and fighting!”. That’s a home that everyone avoids-including you.
But saying and wishing for a home that gives life isn’t going to make it happen. Murphy’s law says it best, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong… The same is true for our homes.
Ever feel like giving up? Like what you’re doing is not important or necessary? Whether or not you blog, you may find yourself relating to some of the thoughts and feelings that Sara Elizabeth shares here…
Blogging and writing take work, time, and effort. It’s easy to get sucked into the abyss of online space, later trying to figure out where the day went. It’s also easy to… wonder if you’re having any sort of impact whatsoever.
And while you’re wondering, you may feel as though you’re letting down your family and children, especially if you’re a homeschool mama.
I told my husband that I was going to take a break for a year. He laughed.
Why? Because he knows there’s a reason why I started blogging, and it had nothing to do with giveaways, e-book projects, stats, website design, or following any of the rules of blogging.
Thank you all so much for your inspiration and timely words…
Please feel free to grab our button for your site and brag about your feature!
And on to the party…
Just a reminder…
By linking up, you’re confirming that you’ve read and agree to the following…
Link up family-friendly posts that support our site’s mission of encouraging, inspiring & informing women. Think: parenting, homeschooling, marriage, recipes, DIY, saving money, faith-building, etc. (Serious business…Link up vulgarity and it’ll be deleted.) Please feel welcome to contribute up to 3 posts!
…and then visit at least 2 other links. That’s what makes this a par-tay! Plus, it’s kinda the polite thing to do.
Linking up gives us permission to use and share your photos and blog posts (giving credit to you, of course!).
Share posts with good quality, pinnable images and be sure to link back to us in your post or on your blog. You can use the Coffee & Conversation button in your sidebar or a text link. (Your chances of being featured will greatly increase 😉 )
Oh, and would you be so kind as to Tweet this and pass the word around?
