Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #104 – hosted by PatAndCandy.com!
I was so excited!!
I had been anticipating my monthly delivery for weeks, and once again I was not disappointed.
Actually, this time I was pleasantly surprised!
If you’ve been reading our blog for any length of time, you know by now that we’re big fans of Grove Collaborative.
I mean, we’ve been ordering from then since they were ePantry!
But one of the things I like, adding to my growing list of “why I like Grove” is the periodic perks they offer!
Actually, due to some unexpected financial challenges on my end, I had found it necessary to delay my shipment last month. But were they worried about me?
Well, I don’t think they were worried that they were going to lose a customer, but they were (worried?) kind enough over the course of the delay to reach out and offer me a few extra goodies!!
I thought I’d show you the contents of said shipment here. So… in the picture above, you’ll see what I call my kitchen pack. These two products have become staples in that room. I love their dishwasher tabs (I don’t need to add citric acid powder to combat our hard water when I use these babies!), and the hand soap (one of my gifts) this time came in lemon verbena. This has become my current favorite scent, second only to their aMAazing lavender and lovely basil…
To the right, you’ll see my bathroom collection. The bottle on the left is toilet bowl cleaner (in lavender), which is the only bowl cleaner I use there anymore, and the foaming hand soap (also in lemon verbena) lasts long enough ’till my next order comes in, so that keeps me happy, too! The glass spray bottle you see (another gift) will hold the ONLY shower cleaner I use, which I’ve written about before: 1 part blue Dawn to 3 parts white vinegar, plus a few drops of lemon essential oil (or your favorite).
The last gift they sent was a lady’s razor, which I have to admit I found somewhat humorous. Apparently, the handle is made from recycled plastic yogurt containers… Hmmm… But the blades have a lubricating strip with cocoa butter and aloe!
I’m looking forward to trying that one out – but I think I’ll just leave a review on their site instead of boring you with the details (wink-wink).
Now on to this week’s features!
Thank you Carla (from SimplifyLifeWithMrsR) for this super-yummy and simple idea! I just LOVE summer cukes – and what a tasty way to share them with friends 😉
Looking for some family summer games before school starts up again? Here are some fun ideas – the bumper balls look like a blast, and we haven’t flown kites in way-too-long (and never a giant kite like the one shown here!). Yard Jarts are a much safer twist on an old favorite of my family… From Crystal at SharingLife’sMoments
You may want to pick up the idea from Leah’s post over at Bright Ideas Press blog. Our homeschool co-op did a Board Game class and it was a hit with our upper elementary and middle school kiddos…
Last but not least, a tribute to my very favorite Girl Scout cookie: Thin Mints!! Thank you, Marilyn…at Marilyn’sTreats
Thank you all so much for your inspiration and timely words…
Please feel free to grab our button for your site and brag about your feature!
