Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Conversation #53!
We’re happy to be hosting another par-tay for your reading and discovery pleasure!
Hey, can you believe it? Yet aNOTHER anniversary!
Today we celebrate two years of blogging!
Yup, two years ago we published our first post: 5 Ways to Simplify Your Life. (We actually had a few posts earlier, but hadn’t “announced” our endeavor anywhere…)
We’ve sure learned a ton over the past two years, and been blessed by the support, love and encouragement of so many friends. It’s been a great ride!
But back to today…this week has been an unusually busy week for me. And, to be honest, not a lot of fun. In preparation for getting back to school, and all the purchases I know we’re gonna need to make, my hubby and I took some time to revisit our budget. Like many of you, it appears our belts are gonna have to be pulled a little bit tighter in the coming months…but that shouldn’t be too hard, since I’ve also started working out and watching what I eat in preparation for our daughter’s wedding next month! EEEK!
I must have been hungry again, because this week my eyes fell upon recipes that highlighted summer time fruits and flavors. Either that, or it’s just that I’m stuck on summer 😉
I love salsa. No, I mean, I LOVE salsa!!! Cathy from Three Kids And a Fish, shared a yum-MEEEE recipe that looks so easy and versatile and, did I say yum-MEEE?!?
Ohmygoodness…I can only imagine what the kitchen is gonna smell like when I bake up these goodies!! I can’t WAIT 🙂 What a great prelude to fall… Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ashleigh!
Amy,from Home and Farm Sense, shared a really neat barbecue sauce recipe. What I love about it is the ingredient swaps she suggests. And honestly, I never even considered adding apple butter to bbq sauce, have you?
If you have ever had a summer garden, you know there are just some veggies that seem to thrive. Who hasn’t at some point had an overabundance of tomatoes, or cukes, or…yellow squash? If that’s been the case for you, or you know of someone who has, here’s the ticket 😉
Thank you all for your inspiration! Please feel free to grab a button to
brag about it display on your site! 😉
